PERSEPHONE
Persephone represents the naive youth who thinks knowing power exists is equal to being able to control it.  She can hold her Mothers staff, but without the balance brought by wisdom, she is awkward.  Physical strength can’t replace life experience.  It was important to me that this symbol of youth did not succumb to the stereotypical, superficial beauty image for true beauty grows with age.
