"DECALOGUE"
On Mt. Sinai Moses received the Ten Commandments from God on a tablet of
stone, represented by this hand-patinaed piece of ritual art. God’s
hands symbolize that it was He who wrote upon the tablets. The
first ten letters of the Hebrew alphabet are equivalent to the numbers
1-10. Therefore, each commandment has a symbolic letter/number. Hebrew
begins from the right, Aleph, Beit, Gimel, Daled, Hei, (1-5). On the
left Vov, Zayin, Chet, Tet, Yud, (6-10). May whatever you choose to
place in God’s Hand bring you peace. Shalom
