Fostering Community Creativity and Imagination

IMAGINE-INSPIRE-IGNITE
The Rose Petal Foundation was founded in 1999 by Buck and Lynn Rae Lowe with a dream - to build a world where imagination and creativity weren't luxuries, but lifelines. From art programs for terminally ill children to sponsoring a theater production by an 80-year old playwright, from artist meetups marking the changing seasons to bringing color and culture to small towns across Southern Arizona - the foundation has always been about light finding its way in.

From the beginning, one truth has guided our work: creativity changes lives. Art is more than beauty; It's belonging. It's voice. It's survival. That's why in 202 we launched the Imagination Initiative, our direct grants program that invests in emerging artists who are ready to shape their futures - and ours - with boldness and heart.

"This grant hit close to home especially regarding using creativity and imagination in healing, building communities, and discovery through self-expression. I am honored to be a catalyst for those ideals. My passion is to share with the world how movement facilitates personal and community healing."

Our direct impact over the past three years has far exceeded our wildest dreams - since 2023 we have provided over $55,000 in direct resources to artists of all ages through our Imagination Initiative grants, direct local support to local arts and philanthropic organizations, and our work to strengthen other organizations within our communities. When our resources are leveraged alongside other local foundations and nonprofits, our combined impact has been over $500,000!

If you know an up-and-coming artist who you believe represents the ideals of the Rose Petal Foundation and would benefit from an Imagination Initiative grant, please send an email to RosePetal@lynnraelowe.com.
